Experiential Learning in the Forest
Nature School is an outdoor learning program in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. It provides hands-on exploration in the forest. Children have the opportunity to play freely in the forest and practice new skills as a group and independently.
The objective of these sessions is to inspire curiosity, confidence, and high self-regard. Through exploration we cultivate a deeper knowledge, love and respect for oneself and the land which we steward.
Every sessions includes:
- Woodland Walk
- New Nature Skills
- Free play in the forest
- Time for wildness & time for stillness
- Field Journaling
Nature Skills cover safe guidance in topics such as:
- Building Shelter
- Making Fire
- Nature Awareness
- Wildlife Tracking
- Edible Plants
- Medicine Making
- Green Woodwork
- Natural Fibres
- Using Hand Tools

Ages 8-16
10am-2pm
$60 per session
All Materials & Tools Provided
Please bring a small backpack with a healthy snack, pack lunch, hot & cold drinks, waterproof top and bottoms, and warm layers. We will be outside rain or shine.
